Museo della Tortura or Museum of Torture is an interesting place, and visitors need to have a plenty of time on hand to visit this place. It is based in Palazzo Guinigi Magrini which is a historical place in Lucca. Here you can find illustrations and explanations of the instruments in sheets by researchers. The equipment are from the 16th and the 17th century. The museum has over a thousand such pieces and displays in detail of how the rulers used to punish the criminals and others in those times. The museum shows how the people then had known the machinery that worked in such a fashion that was atrocious and cruel.

The spiked collars are also one of the worst kind of torture equipment that might have scared the prisoners.
