Church of St. Cristoforo or Christopher is located in the village of Via Fillungo, which was also the thistle maximum of the Romans. It is located on the main street of the old town of Lucca. The first mention of the church can be found in 1053 in the available history records. The church is in Lucca was rebuilt on small ruins of a church that dates back to 1200. Today the church is also used for exhibition space and other activities as well. It’s a beautiful little church that was quite popular in those days. It was a great place where politics was being discussed and was the venue of consuls of Causse Lucchesi. Today the church is closed to any kind of religious worship. What you see these days are the events and activities that are particularly cultural and also exhibitions of different kinds.

Architectural regards
The structure is a fine example of artistic influence from Pisa and Lucca. The presence of the epigraph inside the church ensures the influences seen in Pisa. The characteristics of the structures are related to the Maetro Diotisalvi, who is the author of Baptistery of Pisa. The facade is to be found in complete white with a flower on the upper level of the church. The blocks of the limestone are marvelous, and the shape of the structure is also stunning. The arches on the lower level of the church are simple with pillars that do not come with intricate designs but signify the elegance of those times. The facade cannot be ignored as it is an elegant part of the structure. Now that the structure is no longer a place of worship; you can see various kinds of activities going on into the church. However, the looks and the interiors of the church have been maintained since its last renovation.
